Aryna Sabalenka

Doubles is her forte, and she won Majors in her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both together with Elise Mertens. In the end, she won the Sunshine Double was achieved by Elise Mertens and her in the year 2019. Together, they won the WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. The women's doubles had only four couples achieve this feat. Her ranking went from second to third on the singles world rankings on 23 August 2021. When she played doubles, she managed to push her way to the top in February of the same year following her victory in Melbourne being the first tennis player from Belarus to be a part of the sport of doubles. She was coached by former Russian tennis player Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the close of the season in 2019 and partially at the start of 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September of 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she's been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
